The Beatles story didn’t start with fame. It started right here in Liverpool. 🎸

On this walking tour, we’ll follow the early years of John, Paul, George and Ringo, as well as Pete Best and Stuart Sutcliffe, and talk about the people, places and moments that helped shape the band before the world knew their name.

We’ll walk through Liverpool city centre and the Cavern Quarter, hearing stories about their first performances, friendships, early line-ups and the rise of Beatlemania. Of course, we’ll stop at Mathew Street and the Cavern Club, one of the most important places in their story.

But there’s much more along the way. We’ll pass places connected to the early Merseybeat scene and the Blue Angel, before heading towards Ye Cracke and the beautiful Philharmonic Dining Rooms, where Paul McCartney surprised locals with a performance during his famous Carpool Karaoke visit to Liverpool.

Throughout the tour, we’ll connect the places you see with the stories behind them, giving you a better picture of who The Beatles were before they became the biggest band in the world.

We’ll finish at Liverpool’s Waterfront, next to the Beatles Statue and the River Mersey.
